Rhade is a municipality in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) in Lower Saxony . It consists of the districts of Rhade and Rhadereistedt and belongs to the Selsingen municipality .

On March 1, 1974, the neighboring municipality of Rhadereistedt was incorporated.

The council of the municipality of Rhade consists of eleven council women and councilors. The coat of arms of the municipality shows three silver spheres on a blue background, two above one.
The three silver balls are included in the family coat of arms of the Barons von Rahden, who owned a moated castle as ancestral castle in Rhade in the 12th to 14th centuries. The adoption of the herald's mark from the family coat of arms in the coat of arms of the community is intended to indicate the origin and development of the village from the time of the barons of Rahden to the independence of the village of Rhade.

As a school (elementary school Rhade) and church (ev.-Lutheran St. Gallus parish of Rhade) as well as the existing infrastructure (general practitioners, village shop, shops), the place Rhade is important as a central place for the surrounding villages Hanstedt, Glinstedt , Rhadereistedt, Ostereistedt and some smaller settlements. Rhade has a day-care center with a total of 50 childcare places including a crèche.
