Fixard menhir

Fixard menhir

The Fixard menhir is located near an outcrop in a forest south of Fixard and north of Saint-Estèphe near Périgueux in the Dordogne department in France . He is one of the rare standing stones of the Périgord .

The Neolithic menhir is made of granite . It is said to weigh over 10 tons and run one meter in the ground. It is about 2.4 m high, 1.1 m in diameter, and phallic in shape.
