The menhir of Wackernheim is a menhir between Nieder-Ingelheim and Wackernheim , two districts of Ingelheim am Rhein in the Mainz-Bingen district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
location
The stone was found while plowing in 2003 and placed on the nearby Haxthäuser Hof. The closest place is the northeast located Wackernheim, the place of discovery and the installation site, however, belong to Nieder-Ingelheim.
description
The menhir is made of limestone . It has a height of about 160 cm, no information is available on the width and depth. The stone is plate-shaped, slightly curved and ends in a sloping point. Its surface is irregular and slight traces of processing can be seen on one narrow side.
