Menhirs of Saint-Simon

The menhirs of Saint-Simon 1–3 are in Saint-Simon, northeast of Aurillac in the Cantal department in France . All three are visible from the D58 road from St. Simon to Giou de Mamou .

The menhir 1 of Saint Simon is a Christianized megalithic monument and was mentioned in the "Repertoire des Monuments Megalithiques du Cantal". He stands on private land and is 2.55 m high and 62 cm wide and carries a long thin metal cross.

Saint Simon's menhir 2 stands in a field near the D58. It stands on private land and is about one meter high and 40 cm wide.

The menhir 3 of Saint Simon stands in a field near the hamlet of l'Hopital. It stands on private land, but is accessible through a gate. It is about 1.5 meters high and 60 cm wide.
