Menno van Delft
Menno van Delft (* 1963 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch harpsichordist , organist and musicologist .
Life
Menno van Delft studied harpsichord, organ and musicology at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam , at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and at the University of Utrecht . His teachers included Gustav Leonhardt , Bob van Asperen , Piet Kee , Jacques van Oortmerssen and Willem Elders.
As a soloist and continuo player, Menno van Delft appears in various line-ups. Menno van Delft has been professor for harpsichord, clavichord , basso continuo and ensemble playing at the music academy in his hometown of Amsterdam since 1995, and since 2006 he has been a part-time professor for harpsichord at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama .
