Menso of Heiden

Menso von Heiden (* in the 16th century; † after 1612 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Menso von Heiden came from the Westphalian noble family von Heiden and was the son of Wennemar von Heiden and his wife Agnes von Rhede zu Brandlecht. They married in 1538. Wennemar's first marriage was to Elisabeth von Plettenberg . In 1562 Menso received a cathedral praise from Münster , in whose possession he remained until 1575. He renounced his benefice and married Sybilla von Westerholt. The marriage resulted in a daughter and three sons.
