The M 114 is an in- line six- cylinder petrol engine by Mercedes-Benz that was produced from 1967 to 1972.

This version was almost identical to the Mercedes-Benz M 108 , the unit differs in the timing, which allows a higher torque at low engine speeds.

This engine is equipped with an electronic fuel injection, a Bosch D-Jetronic . The M114 was the first Mercedes-Benz engine to be equipped with this technology after mechanical systems had been used as early as the 1950s.
