Mercedes-Benz Veterans Club of Germany

The Mercedes-Benz Veteranen Club von Deutschland e. V. (MVC) is the oldest brand-related classic car club in Germany. Members of the club initiated the first classic car auction on German soil in October 1972.

The aim of the club is to preserve all vehicles with frames (whether tubular, X-tube, ladder or full frame) from the production of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft , Benz and Mercedes-Benz until production of the 300 SL is phased out Roadsters in 1963.

The club's activities include offering technical seminars, driving out and vehicle meetings, some with social activities, such as participating in trade fairs and markets or participating in historic racing drives.

In order to provide the various Mercedes clubs with information about the "rustiest hobby in the world", the MVC set up its News section in 2000, which is now called OldtimerTicker, where it tries to get news from the fields of old and youngtimers, To publish classics, traffic law, museums, technology, restoration tips, vehicle presentations, etc.

The MVC is divided into 15 regional clubs and has sections in Japan and Spain. It has around 1,500 members (as of 2017).
