Meridiana Wine Estate

Meridiana Wine Estate Ltd. is a Maltese winery based in Ta'Qali and the largest winery in Malta. The company has existed since April 1987 and has been run by Mark Miceli-Farrugia since then with the aim of producing world-class wines with a Maltese character . The winery is located on 19 hectares of the main Maltese island near the old capital Mdina . In contrast to other wineries from Malta, which sometimes import grapes from other countries on a large scale, Meridiana only produces wine from grapes that grow in Malta. Meridiana produces Chardonnay , Syrah , Merlot and a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon . The annual production is around 100,000 bottles.
