Mernua was a Nubian queen around 600 BC. Chr.

Mernua is only known from its pyramid Beg S85 in Meroe , the burial chamber of which was found unlooted. The queen was buried in a set of three anthropoid, human-shaped coffins. On her mummy there were still loads of silver amulets and a pearl net that was placed over the corpse. A silver mask lay on her face

At other grave goods were found in the grave chamber shabtis with the name of Mernua and some ceramics. Due to the moisture in the soil, all organic materials had already decayed.

The burial equipment is kept in a purely Egyptian style. It dates to around 600 BC. BC and proves that even at this time Meroe was an important place where members of the royal family were buried. Her husband cannot be identified with certainty.
