The Meschesee is a quarry pond in Detmold district Nienhagen in North Rhine-Westphalia . The lake is about 550 m long and between 160 and 270 m wide. Its circumference is about 1.5 km.

The Werre flows around the 9.0 hectare lake to the west and south at a distance of 50 to 100 meters. During floods , the Meschesee can be fed with Werre water.
