Mesenteriolum

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mesenteriolum (diminutive form from Latin mesentery ), also mesoappendix, is a fold of tissue ( mesentery ) that contains the blood vessels supplying the appendix vermiformis in addition to fatty and connective tissue .

The main component of the mesenteric artery is the appendicular artery branching off from the ileocolic artery .

To avoid secondary bleeding during the appendectomy , the mesenteric and artery must be carefully tied.
