Mesotonia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under Mesotonie refers to the promotion of the middle portions of an organ or a plant. This can be understood as an example, the strong development of side branches in the middle of branches. In forest botany , this specifically means promoting the size of the buds and thus the length of the side shoots in the middle of the annual shoots. In addition to mesotonia, acrotonia and basitonia are distinguished.
