The Messelpark is an almost four hectare park strip in the Berlin districts of Schmargendorf and Dahlem .

description

Much of the park is on the Schmargendorf side. There the park is mostly natural with strong growth, only walking paths are laid out. The very long, planted green strip runs in a north-south-east direction. The following streets form the outer boundaries (starting in clockwise direction from the north): Wildpfad, Bernadottestraße, Im Dol, Messelstraße, Waldmeisterstraße, Goldfingerwegh (western boundary), Waldmeisterstraße, a nameless footpath behind the loose residential buildings to the game path. The upper third of the park is cut through by Clayallee . The corner going west also bears the independent name Robert-Stolz-Anlage .

The smaller part of the park on the Dahlem side is designed as a large lawn for sunbathing with mature trees, a small pond and a children's playground. There is also a boulder on the green area.

The park is named after the adjacent Messelstrasse , which in turn is named after the architect Alfred Messel , who helped shape the city of Berlin with numerous buildings.
