Block diagram with MUS

Transmitter power supply units (MUS) are used in process control technology (PLT) for galvanic isolation and (auxiliary) power supply of transmitters . They have three interfaces:

  1. Interface for your own energy supply
  2. Interface to the transmitter (measuring sensor)
  3. Interface to the higher-level process control system

All interfaces are galvanically separated from each other. The energy is conducted from interface 1 to interface 2 in order to supply the measuring sensor with energy. The measurement information (measured value) is forwarded from the measurement sensor via interface 1 to interface 3.
