Herbert Tzschoppe

Herbert Tzschoppe (born July 2, 1927 in Teuplitz ) is a former German politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the council of the Potsdam district .

Life

Tzschoppe, the son of a master glassmaker and a worker, attended elementary school in Neupetershain . From 1942 to 1944 he completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk at the council of the municipality of Neupetershain. On April 20, 1944, he joined the NSDAP (membership number: 10.095.375). In 1944/1945 he did his Reich Labor Service .

After the war ended, he joined the KPD in 1945 and became a member of the SED in 1946. From 1945 to 1950 he was an employee of the council of the municipality of Neupetershain. In 1949/1950 he attended the state administration school in Königs Wusterhausen . In 1950 he became an organizational instructor in the Brandenburg Ministry of Health in Potsdam . From 1950 to 1952 he was a consultant in the state organs department of the SED state leadership in Brandenburg .

From January 1953 he was first secretary of the SED district leadership in Königs Wusterhausen , and from July 1953 to April 1963 he was chairman of the council of the Potsdam-Land district . In 1962 he completed a correspondence course at the German Academy for Political Science and Law as a graduate political scientist. From 1963 to 1971 he was deputy head of the office for agriculture and head of the agriculture department of the SED district leadership in Potsdam. From April 1971 to 1977 Tzschoppe was first deputy chairman, then from June 20, 1977 to May 1990 chairman of the Potsdam District Council. After a motion by the DBD parliamentary group of the Potsdam district assembly, the district council asked the district assembly a vote of confidence on November 27, 1989. In a secret ballot, the majority of the MPs expressed their confidence in the district council. In the interests of a stable situation, personnel changes should first bring about administrative reform and elections.

From 1964 to 1989 Tzschoppe was a member of the SED district leadership in Potsdam and from October 1963 to May 1990 a member of the Potsdam district assembly .

In 1983 he received his doctorate from the University of Education Potsdam to Dr. phil. and was from 1985 to 1990 a member of the Scientific Council of the Academy for Political Science and Law in Potsdam-Babelsberg. In July 1990 Tzschoppe took early retirement.

In the course of 1990 Tzschoppe left the PDS .
