Metallspühunde is a Swiss synth rock band.
history
Metallspühunde was founded in 1998 by Michel Frasse and Peter Graf. The name is derived from the minesweeper dogs in the Vietnam War .
In 1999 they released their debut album Metallspürhunde and started touring in Germany and Switzerland. In 2001 they released another album, Preview2 . The album Blood & Games was released at the end of 2003, Amokmensch in 2006 , Böse Wetter in March 2009 and Moloch in April 2011 . From 2004 to 2016 metal sniffer dogs were under contract with the German label Danse Macabre . Since 2016 they have been under contract with Trisol Music Group and darkTunes.
In 2013 the band founded the side project "DAS WAR KRACH" and so far released a single under this name and the album "Protokino" (both only released on vinyl).
