The Methodist University College Ghana (German Methodist University of Ghana) (MUCG for short) in Accra in the Dansoman district is a university college that is affiliated with the University of Ghana .

history

In 1997, Rt. Rev. Dr. Samuel Asante Antwi speaking at the 36th annual Conference of the Methodist Church in Ghana in Cape Coast on the establishment of a Methodist University. The National Accreditation Board granted approval for the first time in August 2000, which was confirmed in 2002. The university started teaching in November 2000 with 80 students and increased to 2,830 students by the 2007 academic year.

Faculties

So far, four faculties have been set up at the MUCG:

  • Faculty of Business Administration
  • Faculty of Social Studies
  • Faculty of General Studies
  • Faculty of Agriculture

The Faculty of Agriculture is the youngest faculty. It started work in 2006/2007 and awards degrees in horticulture, agricultural production processes and agricultural industry. For the first time, degrees were obtained in this faculty for the 2007/2008 academic year.

The Faculty of General Studies prepares students for a Bachelor's degree in English and in Religion / Ethics. Overall, courses are offered in English, French, Religion, Ethics, Logic, Behavioral Studies, Entrepreneurship and Computer Courses.

The Faculty of Social Sciences prepares students for degrees in economics, psychology, information technology, economics / statistics and consulting.

The business administration faculty offers courses in accounting, banking / finance, human resources and marketing.
