methods, data, analyzes (mda) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on empirical social research .

Structure and characteristics

methods, data, analyzes (formerly: methods, data, analyzes) publishes research results on questions of quantitative methods in empirical social research with a focus on survey methodology. mda is published both in print and online as an open access magazine. The content is freely available and can be distributed without any restrictions.

mda is represented in the Emerging Sources Citation Index and in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

The journal has existed since 2007. Since 2014 the articles have been published exclusively in English. It is published by GESIS - Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences . The magazine's first editor-in-chief was Christof Wolf until Henning Best took on this role from 2013 to 2016. Annelies G. Blom has been the editor-in-chief of mda since 2016.
