Metropathy

Metropathy (from the Greek metra "uterus" and pathos "suffering") is the collective term for all diseases of the uterus . In a narrower sense, the term is used for diseases of the uterus that are associated with permanent bleeding ( haemorrhagic metropathy ).

Inflammatory metropathies are endometritis , myometritis , metritis , pyometra, and parametritis . In addition to the pyometra, the hydro- , haemo- and mucometra are pathological fluid accumulations in the uterus .
