Michael Aichinger

Michael Aichinger (born August 7, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since June 2018 he has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Michael Aichinger completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk after completing compulsory school . In his second educational path , he completed a law degree , which he completed with a master's degree.

He was initially a youth trust council and works council at ELIN-Union , and since 1980 has worked in various positions at the union of private employees , printing, journalism, paper (GPA-djp). In 1981 he became a member of the Socialist Youth (SJ) and was subsequently active in various functions in the SPÖ. Since 1985 he has been working for the Vienna Regional Health Insurance Fund (WGKK), where he is chairman of the central works council. In 2015 he was elected chairman of the Federal Forum of the Social Democratic Union (FSG) group in the GPA-djp. He succeeded Willi Braun, who had held this position since 2002.

On June 25, 2018, he was sworn in as the successor to Barbara Teiber in the 20th electoral term as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .
