Michael Bortman

Michael Bortman is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He lives in Los Angeles , California .

His first work was a TV feature film "And Your Name Is Jonah" in 1979, in which he was involved as a screenwriter and producer. In 1983 he was responsible for the screenplay of the television film What Happening to the Children? nominated for the Emmy Award .

In 1988, after several TV films, the first feature film, The Price of Emotions, with Diane Keaton and Liam Neeson in the lead roles. Michael Bortman wrote the script for this based on Sue Miller's novella. In 2006, he wrote the screenplay for Candles on Bay Street, his latest work as screenwriter Resurrecting the Champ was released in 2007.
