Michael Glatze (* 1975 in Olympia , Washington , USA ) is a former co-founder of Young Gay America magazine and an activist for gay rights.

While Michael Glatzes mother professed Christianity, his father was an agnostic . Bald's father died when the son was thirteen years old, his mother in his twentieth year. Bald graduated from Dartmouth College (English literature, art and music) and earned a bachelor's degree.

While working for XY Magazine in San Francisco, Baldness met Benjie Nycuma, who then became his partner for ten years. He started his own magazine, Young Gay America . Bald and Nycuma are also co-authors of the XY Survival Guide (2000).

From 2005 onwards, several years of intensive self-reflection led to a conversion to Christianity and a radical change in attitudes towards homosexuality, which he has since rejected as harmful and sinful. He wrote an article about it for WorldNetDaily .

His statements now appear more on conservative information forums. However, he also wrote on blogs aimed directly at homosexuals. He was invited by the news portal CNN to explain his life story, but did not accept the offer. He is now fundamentally criticized by his former colleagues.

Bald lives in Colorado and has been married to his wife Rebekah since May 2013.
