Michael Edward Killeen Hussey (born May 27, 1975 in Morley (Australia) , Western Australia ) is an Australian cricketer and batsman (batsman) in the Australian national cricket team. With a point average of over 50 runs per wicket (elimination) in both test cricket and one-day internationals , he is one of the most efficient active batsmen.

He played his first test match for Australia in November 2005 against the West Indies . Hussey quickly impressed with the frequent scoring of Centuries (more than 100 points in an innings) and became an integral part of the national team. After he also played successfully in the Ashes test 2006/2007, he became the team's 2nd substitute captain. The media often express regret that Hussey was not selected earlier for the national team as he will soon reach the age where most players will retire from active cricket.
