Michael J. Sullivan (* 1961 in Detroit ) is an American fantasy - and science fiction - author .

Life

Sullivan says he has been writing fantasy novels since 1979 . However, he first became known through his series The Riyria Revelations , which he self-published after numerous rejections in 2008. As a result, his novels were published by major publishers and translated into numerous languages. His first science fiction novel Hollow World (German as Zeitfuge ) was published in 2014.
