Michael Jendrian

Michael Jendrian (* 1970 ) is a German correspondence chess player .

Correspondence chess

At the 28th German Youth Correspondence Chess Championship, which took place from 1988 to 1992, Michael Jendrian took 3rd place.

He had achieved the first IM standard and the first SIM standard in 2003 in the master standard tournament 29 (category 5) with 7.5 points from 10 games. In the master norm tournament 88, which also had category 5, the second IM norm followed in 2007 with 8 points from 12 games. In the Zinser Memorial (Category 7), Michael Jendrian secured the title of International Master in Correspondence Chess (IM) in 2016 when he achieved his 3rd IM standard . After winning a semifinal tournament of the correspondence chess world championship and winning the GM standard tournament 50, he was awarded the title of Honored International Master (SIM) in 2017.

His Elo rating for correspondence chess is 2480 and for standard chess it is 2038 (as of September 2018).

Close chess

In Nahschach he had the highest rating of 2084 in July 2002. He plays team chess for the VHS Heide chess club in the Schleswig-Holstein District League West, and has also played for Agon Neumünster in the Oberliga Nord. Jendrian qualified for the German Cup individual championship for the Dähne Cup 2002/03 and reached the second round there.
