Michael Krzeminski (* 1953 in Olpe / Westphalia) is a German media scientist .

Life

He studied German language and literature and philosophy at the Universities of Gießen and Birmingham and received his doctorate in 1986 with a broadcast thesis at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . From 1985 to 1991 he worked as a speaker and deputy managing director for journalistic media planning for developing countries in Aachen. In 1992 he moved to the University of Siegen, where he was a member of the DFG Collaborative Research Center for Screen Media and helped to set up the Media Training Academy (FAM). Since 2000, Krzeminski has been professor for multimedia and online journalism in the technical journalism course at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Sankt Augustin . Research and teaching assignments led him to journalistic institutes in Germany and abroad.

He has published books and articles in academic journals on general and specific topics in media and communication studies. His work focuses on journalism, public relations as well as the journalism of the new media Internet and online services.
