Michael Le Vell

Michael Le Vell , born Michael Robert Turner (born December 15, 1964 in Newton Heath , Manchester ) is an English actor. He is best known for his role as Kevin Webster on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street .

Life

Michael Le Vell was born in Newton Heath , Manchester in 1964 . When he was 15, his mother died of a brain tumor and seven years later his father died of lung cancer. In 1986 he married actress Janette Beverly , whom he met on the set of Coronation Street . He first became a father in October 1995 when his wife gave birth to daughter Amelia Rae Turner. Four years later they had a son (Finley Jarred Turner). In 2011, Le Vell and his wife separated after 25 years over alcoholism and child molestation charges. In 2013, after a long trial, all twelve charges were dropped.

Le Vell first came into contact with acting when he was twelve when he was involved in a school production of "Kes". He then began his acting career at the Oldham Theater Workshop . At first he also worked in a men's boutique and as a plasterer . When he was 15, he got his first role as Neil Grimshaw on Coronation Street and later got the role of Kevin Webster.
