Michael Muhr

Michael Muhr (born August 15, 1944 in Hatzendorf , Styria ) is an Austrian electrical engineer . He was the head of the Institute for High Voltage Technology and System Management at the Graz University of Technology and Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies.

Muhr studied electrical engineering at Graz University of Technology and received his habilitation in the field of high voltage measurement technology . He has been a full university professor since 1996 and was head of the Institute for High Voltage Technology and System Management at the Graz University of Technology from 2004 to 2012. He has been retired since 2012.

  • Honorary doctorate from the University of West Bohemia (2006)
  • The small high-voltage hall, room HS EG 008J at the Graz Institute for High Voltage Technology and System Management, Graz University of Technology was named "Michael Muhr Labor" in 2014.
