Günther Oberdorfer

Günther Oberdorfer (born April 2, 1899 in Steinbach, Tyrol; † March 8, 1989 in Graz , Styria) was an Austrian electrical engineer.

From 1924 to 1937 he worked for the Austrian Siemens-Schuckertwerke in Vienna.

Then he was professor of electrical engineering at the Technical University in Berlin-Charlottenburg until 1945 and then until 1970 professor at the Technical University in Graz with a focus on plant and high-voltage technology. In the academic year 1955/56 he was rector of the Graz University of Technology . In 1982 he received the VDE Honor Ring.
