Michael Mulcahy

Michael Mulcahy ( Irish Mícheál Ó Maolchatha , born June 23, 1960 ) is an Irish politician and has been a member of the Lower House of the Irish Parliament since 2002 .

Mulcahy attended the St. Conleth's College in Dublin and educated at Trinity College of the University of Dublin and later at King's Inns. Mulcahy has been a barrister in Dublin since 1985 . In 1985 Mulcahy was also elected for the first time for Fianna Fáil in the Dublin Corporation , the predecessor of the Dublin City Council , of which he remained a member until 2003. During this time he held from 2001 to 2002 the Office of the Lord Mayor of Dublin (Lord Mayor of Dublin) from. On December 13, 1994, Taoiseach Albert Reynolds Mulcahy nominated as Senator for the 20th Seanad Éireann to fill a vacant seat. Mulcahy stayed in this post until 1997. In May 2002 Mulcahy managed to be elected to the Dáil Éireann , he remained Teachta Dála until 2011.
