Michael Schneider (born July 31, 1954 in Kirchen an der Sieg ) is a German CDU politician and State Secretary in Saxony-Anhalt .
biography
Michael Schneider completed a German studies course with a doctorate at the University of Bonn. He then worked as a teacher. He joined the CDU in 1986 and became an advisor to the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, and in 1990 he became managing director of the CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt. In 2002, as State Secretary, he took over the role of authorized representative of the State of Saxony-Anhalt at the federal government. In the same year he became a member of the Committee of the Regions , of which he was temporarily vice-president.
