Michael Wolfinger (born February 16, 1978 in Nuremberg ) is an aquarist specializing in freshwater shrimp .

Life and career

In his childhood Wolfinger received suggestions for his occupation with the aquarium from his father . Motivated by his first own aquarium, he has been breeding shrimps and Malawi cichlids since he was eleven .

After his training and later employment as a heating engineer , he gave up his learned profession in 2001. He put his passion, cichlid and shrimp breeding, on a professional basis by opening a company in Nuremberg- Katzwang , in which the previous breeding successes were offered and sold. In 2005 he introduced a wholesale business with a focus on freshwater shrimp and nano aquaristics in Nuremberg-Katzwang and created a website about diseases of shrimps.
