The Hohenwarthe post mill is a post mill between the villages Lostau and Hohenwarthe in Saxony-Anhalt, which are part of the Möser community . In local monument list the windmill Hohenwarthe is listed under the entry number 094 05642 as a memorial.

It stands on the Lostauer Mühlenberg . The area around the mill is used for gastronomy purposes. On the mill itself, there is an advertising notice on the catering trade. Federal motorway 2 runs within sight, about 500 meters further north .

Furnishing

The core of the mill dates back to 1720, but originally stood as the Michaelis Mill in Drackenstedt . It was moved to its current location in 1984. The mill is windable and has louvre blades with Hecht's spring louvre . The rest of the mill technology has also been completely preserved. There are grinding mills , grist mills , classifiers, roller frames and cleaning as well as auxiliary equipment such as elevators, transmissions and lifts.

To the east of the mill, a vane shaft and a pinion from a post mill that collapsed in Irxleben in 1983 are on display.
