The Michael Church (Pol. Kościół św. Michała ) was a pre-Romanesque church in the Krakow's Wawel .

history

The church, built by Mieszko I before 992 , was one of the numerous sacred buildings on the Wawel. In 1355 the church was built by Casimir III. the large one in the Gothic style . After the partition of Poland in the 18th century, Krakow came under the rule of the Habsburgs , who built barracks on the Wawel. Numerous buildings on the Wawel were demolished in 1802 for the construction of a parade ground, including the Church of St. Michael and St. George .
