Michail "Mischa" Alexejewitsch Smirnow (English transcription: Mikhail "Micha" Alekseevich Smirnov ; Russian: Михаил "Миша" Алексеевич Смирнов; born April 30, 2003 in Moscow ) is a Russian child singer and actor.

Life

Mikhail Smirnov was born on April 30, 2003 in Moscow into a family of mathematicians; both parents graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of Moscow State University . When he was three years old, Mikhail suddenly began to stutter and his parents sent him to singing lessons as therapy. There, his first vocal trainer Julija Narnizkaja (Юлия Нарницкая) recognized him as having good musical hearing and good singing potential.

Gradually, he acquired skills to perform in various competitions and win prizes. At the age of eight, Smirnov went to another studio, and Lyudmila Simon (Людмила Симон) became his new singing teacher. Smirnov reached a professional level and scored with her most important victories.

He represented Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Mechta" (Russian: Мечта, German: dream), where he came in sixth. Mikhail won a number of noteworthy prizes at various Russian and international singing competitions, but considered reaching the finals of the 2nd season of the Russian edition of the TV show " The Voice Kids " (Голос. Дети) as the greatest personal success to date.

From 2015 to 2017 he moderated the show "Top 10" (Горячая Десяточка) on the children's channel Carousel (Карусель).

In 2012 Misha Smirnov appeared in the Moscow International House of Music in the role of "Maugli" (Маугли) in the musical Мы Одной Крови ("We have one blood").

In December 2015, the new musical "The Ballad of a Heart" premiered, in which he played the main role as "Aljoschka" (Алёшки).
