Michalina Isaakova

Michalina Isaakowa (* 1880 ; † 1937 ) was a Polish entomologist .

Life

She was married to the well-known entomologist Juliusz Isaak . After his death in 1923 she continued his scientific work. In 1926 she traveled to Brazil and reached across the Río Paraná river Ivaí and traveled there only sparsely populated region around Apucarana . After completing her two-year expedition, she returned to Poland with a collection of 15,000 insects.

She drowned during a second trip to Brazil in 1937.
