Michel Brandt
Michel Brandt (born July 14, 1990 in Achim ) is a German actor, politician ( Die Linke ) and a member of the German Bundestag since 2017 .
biography
Michel Brandt studied drama at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts from 2008 to 2012 . In addition to his studies, he worked as an actor at the Wilhelma Theater in Stuttgart, then at the acting studio of the Schauspiel Stuttgart . Since 2012 he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe . Brandt has been a member of the staff council of the Badisches Staatstheater since 2014.
Party and politics
In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 , Michel Brandt ran for Die Linke in the Karlsruhe I state electoral district . In the 2017 Bundestag election , he moved into the Bundestag via the 6th place on the state list of his party. In the Bundestag, Brandt is a full member of the Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid. He is represented as a deputy member in the Committee for Culture and Media.
Awards
In 2016 Brandt received the German Staff Council Award.
