Michel Peiry

Michel Peiry (born February 28, 1959 ) is a Swiss serial killer .

Michel Peiry, also known as the " Romont sadist ", confessed to killing at least five young people between 1981 and 1987 and torturing others. He was sentenced to life in prison on October 31, 1989 .

In 2002 he applied for early release, which is possible after ten years under Swiss criminal law. However, the responsible authority of the canton of Valais refused. This means that Peiry will have to spend at least ten more years in prison before his application will be decided again.
