Michel Placidi (* 1945 in Marseille ) is a French civil engineer and bridge builder.

Placidi studied civil engineering at the Ecole des Arts et Métiers with a diploma in 1967 (where he received a silver medal) and a postgraduate course in concrete construction at the CHEBAP in Paris (1968).

From 1969 he worked for the construction company Campenon Bernard , where he was a colleague of Jean Muller and Jacques Mathivat and dealt with bridge construction. In 1976 he became chief engineer in the Bureau d'Etudes. From 1980 he was at Dragages et Travaux Publics (DTP, head of the Ouvrages d'art department in the technical department), from 1986 technical director at Bouygues and from 1989 in the same position at Razel until 2013.

In 2012 he received the Albert Caquot Prize . In 1990 he received the fip medal and in 1996 the AFGC award. He is a Knight of the Legion of Honor .

His bridge designs include the Pont d'Arbois , Pont de l'île de Ré , Pont de Gilly , Pont de l'Iroise in Brittany and the Viaduc de Meaux motorway bridge .
