Michel Rodde (* 1953 in Paris ) is a Swiss film director and screenwriter .

biography

Michel Rodde grew up with his grandparents in Switzerland. He graduated from high school in Neuchâtel and taught himself to work on film (feature films & documentaries). He made a name for himself in the film industry as an assistant to Andrzej Żuławski . Among other things, he trained in seminars by Krzysztof Kieślowski and now works both as a co-producer and as a freelance filmmaker .

Michel Rodde works as a filmmaker today and made a name for himself for the first time with the feature films “Les ailles du papillon” and “Sweet reading”. Known for his detailed writing and careful staging of his works, his handwriting can also be recognized in his more recent productions “Le voyage du Noemi”, “L'amor fou” and “Je suis ton père”.

Awards and festivals

Michel Rodde took part in the Locarno International Film Festival with his works “Je suis ton père”, “Les ailes du papillon” and “L'écume des rèves” . His productions “Ludivine ou le genie des eaux” and “L'amour fou” were shown at the international film festival “ Cinéma Tous Ecrans ” in Geneva . “Beatrice” was awarded the quality prize by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture and for “Le trajet” he received the “Prix école et cinéma” at the “ Visions du Réel ” film festival in Nyon .
