Mignon Schwenke (born November 4, 1954 in Amberg ) is a German Northernist , state politician ( Die Linke ) and has been a member of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state parliament since 2011 .

biography

Mignon Schwenke grew up in Zwickau . From 1975 to 1980 she studied Nordic studies at the University of Greifswald , received her doctorate there in 1986 and worked as an assistant until 1992. She then left the university and was initially employed in the field and in retail, before starting in 1999 as an employee of members of the PDS and later of the parliamentary group of the party Die Linke.

Mignon Schwenke was deputy FDJ secretary at the University of Greifswald from 1985 to 1988 during the GDR era . Since 1990 she has held various functions in the PDS and Left Party up to the deputy state chairman in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (2003 to 2007). In the state elections on September 4, 2011, she received a mandate from her party's state list.
