Mikławš Jakubica
Mikławš Jakubica (also Miklawuš or Miklawusch , Latinized Nicolaus Jacubiky ; † after 1548) was the author of the Lower Sorbian translation of the New Testament from 1548.
There is hardly any information about himself. He was probably a Protestant pastor in the Lordship of Sorau in eastern Lower Lusatia , as he wrote in the East Lower Sorbian dialect.
It is possible that he is identical with Nicolaus Kubike or Kubke , who was mentioned in 1524 as a Protestant preacher in Laubnitz (today Lubanice ). He could also be identical with a preacher Jakob in Linderode (today Lipinki Łużyckie ), who was mentioned in 1540, and with Nikolaus Jakobi , who was presumably pastor in Linderode from 1553 to 1556.
