Mikael Birkkjaer

Mikael Birkkjær (born September 14, 1958 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish actor .

Birkkjær graduated from drama school at Odense Teater in 1985 , where he then worked for several years. Since 1990 he has been employed at Det Kongelige Teater in Copenhagen. In 1996 he received the Lauritzen Prize, which annually honors a woman and a man for acting.

In German-speaking countries he was mainly known for his role as a commissioner in the second season of Commissioner Lund - Das Verbrechen and as the husband of Birgitte Nyborg in the TV series Borgen - Dangerous rope teams .
