Bas-Boris Bode

For the main role of Bas-Boris Bode , the producers were looking for an ice hockey player. At a casting, the then 16-year-old Martin was able to prevail and impressed with his acting debut, even if he was dubbed by the well-known radio drama speaker Oliver Rohrbeck due to his lack of knowledge of German . On test recording it was found that Martin had a good voice. Because of this he was allowed to sing both the title song "Bas-Boris Bode" and the title "Me Myself And I". The two songs produced by Robert Pferdmenges and Jiri Kanzelsberger appeared in 1985 as singles and on the soundtrack for the series.
