Michael "Mike" Gonzales (born March 13, 1964 ) is a former American decathlete and bobsleigh driver .

Gonzales attended Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance , where he played soccer and was active on the track and field team. In 2013 he was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame.

In 1987 he won the Pan American Games in Indianapolis .

He set his personal best of 8203 points on August 14, 1988 in Saskatoon .

At the 2002 Winter Olympics , he should start together with Manuel Repollet for Puerto Rico in the two-man bobsleigh competition . However, since Gonzales did not meet the rules of the Comité Olímpico de Puerto Rico to participate, those responsible withdrew the recognition of the Puerto Rico Winter Sports Association before the competition, so the duo did not start in Salt Lake City.
