Mike Hookem (born October 9, 1953 in Hull ) is a British politician with the UK Independence Party .

He has been a member of the European Parliament since the 2014 European elections and a member of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense.

On October 6, 2016, at a UKIP meeting in the European Parliament , Hookem had an argument with his party colleague Steven Woolfe after the latter had to spend several days in hospital. Hookem denied that he hit Woolfe in the face as portrayed by him. There was only "a scuffle" . The event was then "blown up by the press".
