Miklos Gaál

Miklos Gaál (* 1974 in Espoo , Finland) is a Finnish photographer of Hungarian origin who lives in Helsinki and Amsterdam.

Gaál studied at the University of Art and Design Helsinki from 1995 to 1999, also at the University of Photography and Film in Gothenburg (1997-98) and graduated with a Master of Arts in Helsinki in 2004. From 2008 to 2009 he was a scholarship holder of the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam .

His photos, usually taken from a bird's eye view , mix sharpness and blurring and are considered innovative contributions to landscape photography . Gaál had solo exhibitions in the Kunsthalle Erfurt (2006) and in the Kunsthalle Emden (2005).
