Military Disabled Badge

The Military Invalid Badge ( Hu. Hadirokkant jelvény ) was donated in 1931 by the Hungarian ruler and head of state Miklós Horthy for soldiers who were wounded on duty. Similar to the German Wound Badge , it served to identify Hungarian soldiers who were so badly wounded during the First World War that they fulfilled the status of an invalid .

Appearance

The copper award is a round plate that is surrounded by a thick laurel wreath and raised by the crown of St. Stephen . In the center the raised letters HR Háború Rokkantság (war invalids).

Carrying method

The award was worn as a pin badge on the left side of the chest.
