Boulder on Midgley Moor

Miller's Grave is a Bronze Age cairn near Hebden Bridge , at Chiserley, on Midgley Moor in West Yorkshire in England . The cairn made of medium-sized stones has a diameter of about 15.5 m and has been preserved up to a height of about 1.5 m. It was piled up around a boulder with a deep natural gap in the middle.

Rundcairns are grave monuments from the Bronze Age (around 2000–700 BC). They were built for single or multiple burials. The dead lie in stone boxes inside the hill . In some cases, the Cairns, often erected in prominent locations, are surrounded by circular moats. They are relatively common in the highlands, where they are the stone equivalent of the round mounds of earth in the lowlands. The significant differences in shape and their longevity as a monument type provide information about the diversity of beliefs and social organization in prehistoric communities. They are representative of their period and a significant proportion of the examples that have survived are considered worthy of protection.

To the north is the striking boulder "Robin Hood's Penny Stone" and a boulder .
